The featured pool showcases the talents and innovative design and construction techniques performed by Senator Pools. Nestled within the New Homeworld Display Village, this pool presents an opportunity for homeowners to do something different.

The new home is focused on the family and entertaining in the outdoor living area. With a stunning alfresco, the brief for the pool was to create a unique and fun feature that is ideal for entertaining. It also had to be practical and functional.

When it comes to Senator Pools, the client plays an integral role in the design process – after all it is the client’s pool. It’s important to ensure that they are active throughout the design process in order to capture all of the features and functions the client requires of the pool.

The design evolved over a number of rough hand-drawn sketches in conjunction with the client. Throughout the design process Senator Pools kept the clients in the loop with the anticipated value of the pool and associated features, to ensure they could make both value- and merit-based judgements throughout the design

The concept was further enhanced and refined by the team at outdoor living environments firm, ecodesign. The daybed crafted in the deck both complements the nearby lounge within the pool and provides definition to the poolscape. The result is a lounge that oozes comfort, fun and relaxation – the perfect spot to lie back and enjoy the outdoor television and bar.

The mottled blend interior was selected for the lounge component of the pool to promote the sense of fun and relaxation. Framed by the solid blue tile around the perimeter of the pool, the lounge is an eye-catching feature.

The vibrant, sparkling blue interior is created via the ‘Sapphire Glow’ glass bead interior by Gemtex. This spectacular interior features throughout both the pool and balance tank, providing a seamless connection between the two features.

Aquaquip’s Aquastar Evo 2 flush-mounted fixed colour LED lights illuminate the pool, giving it a brilliant blue hue at night. The intensity of the colour and illumination is managed by simple dimmers giving a magnificent display.

The pool incorporates a series of spa jets and alternating returns just to add a bit of fun to the pool. Glass feature panels, provided by Dimension One Glass, frame the pool on two sides, allowing the water to cascade into the balance tank below.
