Recreating this gorgeous garden retreat, Rick Star Pools & Spas delivered a stunning 7m x 4.4m Balinese-style pool and outdoor area with a stackstone water feature and adjoining cabana. Removing an existing ground structure pool, Rick Star Pools & Spas reimagined this space in collaboration with the homeowner to actualise an elevated poolside retreat. Utilising contemporary design and installing a thickened edge drop beam, this pool stands out against the crowd with its clean lines and luscious surrounds.

Creating cohesion with the new above ground fibreglass pool and the rest of the residence, Rick Star Pools & Spas lined the pool with travertine tile paving, complimenting the surrounding garden tones. Considering landscape design an integral part of this project, Rick Star Pools & Spas planted many tropical plants with a Balinese feel to blend the pool area with the home and garden.

Extending the pool into the vertical space, the team at Rick Star Pools & Spas cleverly maximises on the tight space with a stackstone water feature. Spanning the 7-metre length of the pool, the feature elongates the pool and adds visual drama with a 1200-millilitre water blade that softly cascades into the water.

Working to the client’s brief of a sizable family pool with the feel of a tropical Balinese retreat, Rick Star Pools & Spas delivered this enviable poolside haven. With tropical colours and soft foliage softening the crisp edges of the thickened drop beam, the pool is the perfect getaway all year round. Working closely with the homeowners, Rick Star Pools & Spas were given a clear and concise brief and attained impressive results with great ease.

Required to remove an existing pool from the space before construction on the new outdoor area could begin, the project required a lot of careful planning from the beginning. Creating an elevated pool deck and pool within a tight space had its challenges – from construction processes and creating an expansive feel to the final product. These challenges were mediated by the knowledge and experience of the team at Rick Star Pools & Spas, and by clear direction of the client to achieve the stunning finished project. Installed with a Magna Pool filtration system the pool runs on magnesium sanitation reducing the possibility of wear and tear commonly found in chlorine sanitation pools. Additionally, Magnesium feels better on the skin – providing a positive swimming experience for all.

Keeping conscious of the environment, the residence has a 5000-litre poly rain tank that can filter water into the pool or home for sustainable water collection. With the addition of an energy efficient E3 Variable Speed Pump, this pool effortlessly combines sustainability and luxury.
