Pacific Pools Project 1

Tucked away in a secluded bushland setting, this beautiful pool epitomises Pacific Pools’ design skills. Designed as part of a new self-sufficient home for a retiree, the pool is positioned alongside the house and level with the home’s decking, which ensures easy access.

Situated on the McDonald River, the pool sits two metres above ground-level, with concrete piles extending from the ground to the base of the pool. Once the concrete shell was poured and cured, the area between the pool and house was back-filled and levelled.
Featuring a swim-out entrance for the grandkids, stainless steel handrail for safety and a range of energy-efficient filtration and sanitation equipment, this beautiful pool has something for everyone.

For this project, Pacific Pools completely transformed the property’s existing pool. The original pool sat 600mm below the entertaining area and the homeowner wanted it made level. He also wanted to add some sophistication with an infinity edge design.

Situated on a sloping block, accessibility was an issue. The existing pool was demolished by hand and an underground sullage tank was found and couldn’t be removed. Working around this, Pacific Pools adapted the planned design and cleaned, rendered and waterproofed the tank and used it to house the water from the pool’s new infinity-edge.

Built level with the entertainment area, the new pool features two multi-coloured LED lights, glass mosaic tiles and Astral filtration equipment.

Featuring two swim-out areas – one created as a spa nook, the other as a water feature – this 14.8mx2.5m pool requires minimal maintenance. Initially this project presented a number of challenges, from restricted access to awkwardly angled sewer pipes, Pacific Pools had to plan the construction process very carefully.

Pacific Pools removed the boundary fence to make way for extensive plumbing. Once construction was complete, the fence was rebuilt. A Sunbather Solar cover was installed for year-round enjoyment and the pool’s equipment is stored in an acoustic-rated filter box to minimise noise.

The pool is fully-tiled with blue glass mosaic tiles from Ezarri, and houses an automatic water leveller, robotic cleaner, sand filter and multiple pumps to maximise the pool’s efficiency.
