Tucked beneath swaying palms, Hemsworth Pools & Landscapes latest project transforms a compact backyard into a private sanctuary. At its heart, an elevated circular spa, clad in rich glass mosaic tiles, spills seamlessly into a striking rhombus-shaped pool below, creating a sculptural focal point that is both inviting and elegant.

The clients wanted a retreat that blended modern design with natural materials while offering year-round functionality and privacy. The teams design meets this brief with clever spatial planning and a dynamic geometry that aligns the pool’s angles with the property boundaries, maximising the site without sacrificing flow or aesthetic balance. Lush tropical planting softens the edges of the hardscape, shielding the space from neighbouring views while enhancing the sense of seclusion. Natural limestone paving underfoot, polished concrete surfaces and textured stone wall cladding ground the design in earthy tones, harmonising beautifully with the surrounding greenery. Practicality also shaped the layout, with safe circulation routes and\ direct access to the home.
