Antique Stone

Established in the mid 1990s, Antique Stone has years of experience in creating both traditional and contemporary looks with stone for your outdoor areas.

The feature project, showcased above, is timelessly beautiful and an example of just some of what they can do.

Overlooking Pittwater, the property has access to amazing views, especially from the outdoor sections. The house and pool underwent major renovations by Beecraft Pty Ltd, and the owners wanted to create a flow between all of the outdoor areas, which without the right design and finish could have lessened the potential versatility of the space because of the angle the house and yard are built on.

Antique Stone achieved that flow with the use of pavers throughout the entire area, from the pool to the verandah and entertaining areas. This also creates a large and open feel for the area.

The pool’s aesthetic was completed by specially made-to-size coping. One challenge Antique Stone had to overcome on this project was rounded corners that required unusually shaped stone. They find this is a common challenge with many of today’s pool designs, which are not all simple and rectangular. Consequently, they have developed a method of manufacture with a template system that allows them to easily cater for any shaped pool and save on production costs.

Antique Stone’s paver colours are derivitives of natural products like limestone, sandstone and lavastone, giving them a natural and stylish look which works for most designs and doesn’t date quickly.

Their stone is handmade and has a natural pattina similar to a travertine or Parisienne limestone. The product has presealers and waterproofing agents which are added during the manufacturing process, so the stone cleans up very well and ages beautifully.

Pavers can be made in 500mm x 500mm, 600mm x 400mm, 600mm x 600mm and 900mm x 450mm and the pool coping comes in three styles ranging from 45mm thick to 70mm.
