Watermaid Pty Ltd began its origins in Sydney, Australia in 1971 by qualified industrial chemist Edward Romer. After many years of research and development, it was the first company to design, develop and manufacture the salt water chlorinator (or chlorine generator) for domestic swimming pools. And after 40 years of manufacturing in Australia, Watermaid Pty Ltd is still proud to be 100% Australian owned.
