THE ART OF ALFRESCO

This coastal modern sanctuary implements intelligent zoning and considered design to craft an awe-inspiring blend of functionality, style and seasonal adaptability. The heart of the project is a new, elongated concrete pool – replacing an old fibreglass model – which optimises space and creates a visual tie to the home via a luxurious, sunken firepit zone. The result is a dynamic layout, encouraging year-round use from sun-drenched poolside lounging to intimate fireside evenings.

Standout features include stone cladding feature walls, a multipurpose poolside pavilion clad in James Hardie Linea boards – designed as a teenage retreat, guest room or office – and a custom alfresco area connected by a retractable Roman blind, providing shade and enhanced indoor-outdoor flow. Overcoming tight site access and persistent rainfall, the team craned in materials and coordinated traffic with careful precision.

Low-maintenance finishes, built-in daybeds, composite decking and layered lighting complete an outdoor space made to look effortlessly beautiful and feel supremely practical.
