This Living Waters Pools and Spas project combines the best of nature with the latest technology to create a pool that is beautifully sympathetic to its surroundings and easy to maintain.

The owners of this East Lindfield property wanted their pool to be a source of relaxation and fun for all ages. Craig Brooks of Living Waters Pools and Spas designed the pool, with drafting by Right Angle Drafting. The excellent outcome was achieved through a consultative process, encompassing the wishes of the client, the creativity of the designer and the practicality of the builder.

The pool was placed on a slope below the existing house, which was difficult to keep weed-free and clear to minimise bushfire danger. The pool has transformed the unused area, while also creating a barrier and water source in case of a bushfire.

Harmoniously blending with the existing natural rock, the 9.5m x 4.5m concrete pool features a fine pebble interior, with tiles on the waterline and step edges. Complementing the natural colour palate, travertine has been selected for the coping and surrounding paving.

Jason Chapman of Elegant Landscapes constructed a wall to follow the natural contours of the rock and allow placement of glass pool fencing above the pool, while aluminium fencing has been used at pool level. Lush turf ties the outdoor design into its leafy setting.

With energy-saving in mind, the pool features an energy-efficient Zodiac variable speed pump and is solar heated. Aqua-Quip lighting allows pool enjoyment to continue into the evening.
